Looking to join a tour individually,
with a bud, or a small group?
Book a Public Tour on Slowboy.
Q: What does a public tour include?
Hop aboard a unique ride on Slowboy! Our 1964 split window VW Bus offers vintage transport while we discuss beer, local brewery history, and cruise all over beautiful Santa Cruz. The Public Tour is 4 hours long and departs from the lobby of the Dream Inn Hotel. We visit four showcased local breweries on each tour. Passengers receive a Brew Cruz coaster that offers a discount on beer at each stop, the opportunity to meet the brew masters, and a knowledgeable driver who will guide you through the day and safely transport you between breweries in style. Create your own soundtrack for the day with our Bluetooth stereo onboard. Validated parking at Dream Inn and Happy Hour prices after your tour at the Jack O'Neil Lounge as well.
Q: How much does it cost?
Public Tours are $45 per person and include all of the above!
Q: Where do the public tours start/end at?
Tours start and end at the Dream Inn Hotel located at 175 West Cliff Dr. in Santa Cruz. You do not need to be a guest of the hotel to join a Public Tour.
Q: How many passengers can the bus hold?
Slowboy can hold a maximum of 7 passengers per tour. If you have more friends who want to ride, try looking at Betty Jane instead!
Q: What am I allowed to bring on the bus?
Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are definitely encouraged and each of the stops also have great food options. We recommend bringing your own refillable water containers to hydrate with throughout the day. Although you must wait to imbibe beers until you're off of Slowboy, any bottles, growlers or crowlers purchased at stops can be stored onboard to enjoy post tour.
Q: What if we want to rent out the entire bus for a Public Tour?
For any special requests, please email and we will work to try and accommodate your group!
*Brew Cruz can host Public Tours as long as a minimum of 4 passengers or more are aboard. If for some reason we do not reach that amount, we will notify you ASAP, and offer either a full refund, or an opportunity to schedule for another tour.
While we would love nothing more than to 'cruz freely in the VW with you, we are unfortunately not offering Public Brewery Tours at this time.
